Suzani from Nurata, Uzbekistan. The foundation of embroidery is
silk-cotton fabric. The pattern has a great visual power and is composed
of floral stars and nice pomegranate tree and leaves which grow on a
wavy vigorous sprout. It produces an effect of exultation, lavishness
and harmony caused by the phenomenon of chaotic growing and blossoming.
The pattern is composed of blossoms and pomegranate trees and flowers.
Dyed with natural vegetables like walnut skins and barberries (brown/
black), pomegranate skin and turmeric (yellows), sumac (maroon) and
combinations of the above..
The size is 45 x 34 inches or 113 x 86
